This beautiful and collectable, 1957 Metropolitan Hardtop is something to see. It is beautifully maintained and as stylish as they come. Since its purchase the microcar has been stored in a garage and has seen only limited California driving conditions since 2017.
The 1.5-liter inline-four engine was factory rated at 52 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission. The five-digit odometer shows 00159 miles, with approximately 100 added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.
The red and white period paint is in fantastic condition. Overall the exterior is outstanding. It has a two-spoke steering wheel and a Smiths 85-mph speedometer with an inset fuel level gauge. The four seats are upholstered in white vinyl with black and white patterned cloth. The restoration dates and history are unknown.
The car is in great running and operating condition. All lights and gauges are working. It has a new distributor and includes a fleece custom car cover.
